The Hotel National was built in 1903 in the styles of electism and modern. It soon became the best hotel in Moscow and welcomed famous guests from Russia and abroad. The hotel was closed for almost four years and went through a major refurbishment and renovation in 1991-1995.Today Le Royal Meridien National Hotel is a historical landmark that has preserved not only the original architecture, but also the unique Russian hospitality.
National has 206 rooms, including 37 antique suites with picturesque view over the Kremlin. The majority of them are set apart with individualized design and decor, some have unique ceiling paintings.
